The AR Manager serves as an organizational leader of the Accounts Receivable function and will primarily oversee the processing of invoicing customers and driving collections organizational collections policies. This includes managing a team of Account Receivable Associates and driving accuracy and efficiency within your team. This is a fully-remote role.
The AR Manager role is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Process management to ensure more accurate than not information flow through the project management software
- Solve job level collections and invoicing issues
- Office level invoicing and productivity reporting
- Ensure timely invoicing of completed jobs and hold tension on draw schedules
- Attend allowance for doubtful accounts meetings to drive opportunities to collect aged balances and to understand short term cash inflows
- Build relationships with office management
- Manage internal controls regarding invoicing and reduce Net WIP
- Lead team of associates through excellent coaching and mentorship
- Work with customers, adjusters and team members to drive best in class collections
- Audit unusual invoicing requests and timing of billings to ensure strong customer experience
- Drive transactional processing efficiency to reduce cost per transaction
- Develop compensation plan for collections focused associates
- Education and detailed awareness of large active jobs for timely draws and to hold tension on when to stop work
- Assist with cash forecast inputs based on expected incoming payments
- Organizational reporting and management of key metrics
- Manage the aging of receivables through collaboration to reduce DSO
- Other responsibilities, as business needs adapt
- 5+ years of experience with collections and invoicing
- Understanding of the construction or insurance industries and related nuance to invoicing and collections
- Customer service driven relationship building
- Tenacious ability to collect funds owed
- Ability to determine problem areas and solve issues as they arise
- Planning/Organizing - Ability to multitask, meet deadlines while managing multiple projects, and strong sense of urgency and follow-thru in addressing issues

The employee will be working in the confines of their own home location. The employee will attend trainings or conferences as needed. In the instance the employee will work from one of our office locations, the employee will be exposed to air conditioning and heat.
Minimal travel is required for training.
