Laundry/Contents Technician
The Laundry/Contents Technician position is a career in field services in the property damage restoration industry. The position is primarily responsible for responding to emergency and property damaging situations. Our team is addresses the property and the customer with skill, knowledge, and professionalism, while preserving as much of the property as possible and working safely and efficiently on the job site.

RESPONSIBILITES:         
  • Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold
  • Survey damage within the property
  • Evaluate and record damage to all items within the property
  • Utilize our cleaning process for both contents and structural damage
  • Categorize (with industry software) and pack personal items within the assigned properties/job sites
  • Determine salvageable and non-salvageable items items with properties and document as such
  • Complete cleaning process for contents on assigned jobs and in Paul Davis processing facility
  • Clean, steam, press and fold/hang all textiles and clothing to pre-loss condition
  • Conduct inventory on all textiles and pack completed textiles/clothing in boxes for customer return
  • Inspect and sort textiles and clothing
  • Demolition of structural damage to properties through the use of hand and power tools  
  • Perform initial site visits
  • Conduct moisture inspections
  • Set restoration equipment within guidelines 
  • Structure cleaning of walls, floors, ceiling and all areas of assigned property that has been affected by fire or water damage
  • Clean up assigned job sites after demolition
  • Operate cleaning equipment within the facility
  • Contact the customer of assigned jobs with ETA
  • Complete assigned tasks and notes  in our primary operating system (RMS) 
  • Take photos of jobs assigned at start, completion, and throughout the process 
  • Responsible for maintaining, unloading/reloading assigned vehicles and equipment
  • Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop
  • Responsible for unloading trash in assigned areas
  • Record your time and code to the assigned job
  • IICRC certification available as IICRC classes are offered 
Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Computer skills/Knowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad, computer)
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, MICA and additional systems as requested
  • Ability to create documents
  • Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face
  • Ability to work independently and/or with a team
  • Ability to complete work on multiple jobs within the same time frame
  • Ability to participate in an on-call schedule
  • Ability to work within hazardous environments safely
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely
  • Maintain a level of confidentiality
Preferred Education and Experience: 
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience with laundry/cleaning processing/procedures or 1+ years experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position 
Physical Requirement:
  • Constantly move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces
  • Ability to stay in a stationery position up to 25% of the time within a vehicle
  • Occasionally requires a ladder to complete jobs
  • Frequently will lift up to 60lbs
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
